Bitter kola is also known as Garcinia kola. It is found majorly in central and Western Africa. 

All parts of this plant has nutritional benefits but its seed is majorly used. And it has many nutritional benefits.

The name ascribes to its bitter taste which eventually turns sweet as you chew.


Bitter kola contains Carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin C, cassium, potassium, iron and caffeine.


Scientists have started studying this fruit and has discovered that they can cure the following.


1. It can cure arthritis. It helps in reducing inflammation in the knees. This is due to its high level of potassium.


2. It can be used to cure infections such as; cold, cough, bacteria, viral infections, hepatitis. It is advisable to take it in the early stage of the infections.


3. It can be used to treat type 2 diabetes due to a chemical called kolaviron found in it. Kolaviron aids treating of hypoglycemia.


4. Bitter kola has anti malaria properties. It can be used to treat malaria at early stage. The stem, bark and seed are used to treat acute fever and throat infections.


5.Glaucoma : Bitter kola has been found to be a good remedy for this sickness. Eyes drops produced with bitter kola has been found to be very effective.


6. Cough: Bitter kola can cure cough when missed with honey.


7. Aids in curing sore throat by producing mucos along the line of the  throat  which softens dry cough.

 8. Treating of respiratory problems: bitter kola can help in treating chest colds, strengthening lung tissues and maintaining respiratory tract due to its high antioxidant content.

How To Make Tiles Cleaner.






Tiles cleaner is used for removing stubborn stains on tiles. It is also used for washing bathroom and toilet. It can also be used for scrubbing.



Recipes For Producing 5 Litres of Tiles Cleaner.

1. Concentrated Hydrochloric acid: 500ml


2. Sulphonic Acid : 250ml


3. Water : 4.5 litres.


Steps:


1. Pour Sulphonic acid into the 4.5 litres of water in a bucket and stir very well for 5 minutes.


2. Gently pour in the concentrated Hydrochloric acid into the solution by running it through the body of the bucket to avoid splashing. Ensure you wear a nose mask. Rinse the bottle with water and dispose properly. Then you stir for 15 minutes.


Cover the mixture for 6hrs and stir again.


To use, sprinkle solution on tiles before cleaning with soap and water.

How To Make Mopping Air Freshener.


Recipes.
1.Nitrosol
2.Menthol
3.Methanol
4.Colour
5.Perfume

 Quantity of Materials Needed to Make 5 Litres.
1. Nitrosol 125g 
2.Menthol 2 table spoon
3.Methanol 750ml
4. Colour 2 table spoon.
5. Perfume 80mil

 Steps:

 1. Measure water into a big bowl and dissolve nitrosol in it completely. Pouring little by little.
 2. Dissolve the menthol in the methanol by pouring the methanol in a separate bowl and adding the menthol. Then stir to dissolve .
 3. Add the dissolved menthol and methanol into the nitrosol and mix properly.

 4. Add colour by first dissolving with little water in a separate bowl. Then pour into the solution and stir properly.

 5. Pour in the perfume and stir properly.

Toilet wash is made with some harmful chemical with Choky smell. That is why it is necessary to take some precautions so as not to get hurt when preparing it.


Precautions
1.Do not have direct contact with these chemicals on skin.

2. Use a nose mask to avoid inhaling the chemicals

3. Do not bring the chemicals near flame.

RECIPES : To produce 15 litres of Toilet Wash.

1. Nitrosol 130g

2.Caustic Soda  250g

3.Soda ash.     350g

4. Sulphonic. 1/2 litre

5. Hydrochloric  Acid  1/2 litre.

6. Colour. 100g

7. Perfume 30mil.

PROCEDURE

1. Measure 12 litres of water in a big bowl or bucket.

2.Dissolve Nitrosol in the water completely to avoid lumps.

3.Dissolve caustic soda in a separate bowl with water and pour into the Nitrosol. Then stir to mix it up properly.

4.Dissolve Soda ash in a separate bowl with water and add to the big bowl containing Nitrosol and caustic soda.

5.Pour in the sulphonic into the big bowl and stir to mix up very well.

6. Now it is time to add the highly concentrated acid. You have to be careful and cover your nose because of its Choky smell. Pour the acid gently into the big bowl without splashing. Allow it to run down through the wall of the bucket. Then rinse the acid container with lots if water and dispose. Then stir the mixture properly to mix up with other recipes.

7. To add colour, dissolve it in a separate bowl with little water and add to the big bowl. Then stir to mix up properly.

8. Pour in the perfume and stir properly.

Then set the solution to stand for 24hrs before packaging.

How to Make Liquid Soap.
Liquid soap can be used for multiple purposes at home. You can use them for washing dishes, cleaning and doing laundry. Liquid soap is mild on skin. It won't burn your skin like some detergents. It also cleans clothes very well and doesn't weaken the colour or texture of the clothes. It gives your clothes new look all the time.
Now we are going to look at the ingredients needed in producing 20 litres of soap.

RECIPES
1. Nitrosol 130g
2. Caustic soda 100g
3.Soda ash 350g
4. SLS rice ( Sodium laurel sulphate ) or Texapon 200g
5. STPP ( Sodium tripoly phosphate) 150g
6.Sulphonic 1/2 litre
7. Foaming booster 1/2
8. Colour 50g
9. Perfume 40mil.

Precautions to take before production

1.Do not have direct contact with these chemicals on skin.

2. Use a nose mask to avoid inhaling the chemicals

3. Do not bring the chemicals near flame.

4. Do not taste the chemicals.

Steps for production.

1. Pour 15 litres of water to a big bowl.

2. Add Nitrosol and dissolve very fast using a big turning stick. Stir it until it is fully dissolved and thick.

3.Pour the caustic soda in a separate bowl and add little water to dissolve while stirring. Then turn it to the big bowl containing Nitrosol.

4.Pour the soda ash in a separate bowl and add little water to dissolve
while stirring, then add it to the big bowl of Nitrosol and Caustic Soda and stir to mix properly.

5.Dissolve the SLS rice in a separate bowl with little water while stirring, then add it to the big bowl. Stir to mix very well.

6.Dissolve the STPP in a separate bowl with water. Then add it to the big bowl while stirring.

7. Pour the Sulphonic into the big bowl and stir properly to mix up and avoid lumps.

8. Pour in the foaming booster and stir to mix up.

9.  Dissolve the colour in a separate bowl with water and add to the big bowl. Then stir properly

10. Pour in the perfume and stir properly.

11. Add water to get 20 litres and also, if the soap is too thick, you can add water to get your desired texture.

12.Allow the soap to stand for 24hrs.
There you have it, your soap is ready for sale or use.
